Meet Sugar and Ivy, the lil friends helping out the lovely queer baker Faye at Sugar and Ivy!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I designed the new logo for Sugar and Ivy back at the start of this year. I had so much fun coming up with these two sweet characters and it was great to work on my vector illustration technique to create them, plus I get to use my fave colour (lavender) in my design.

Faye has been a really important part of my life since 2022 when I asked if they would make our wedding cake for April 2023. The result was so beautiful and fitted our aesthetic perfectly and my husband loved it.

Commissioning Sugar and Ivy back then inspired me to properly start working as an artist and create a business where I can give back to the community through my art.

I really loved working with Faye again on this logo because I worked really hard to make inclusion at the forefront of the design with the vegan rainbow cake that’s so closely associated with Sugar and Ivy
