Welcome to Queer Bodies Are Holy, Emory Southwick’s first solo exhibition.
This exhibition is a celebration of queer bodies through acrylic paintings, oil pastel drawings, and digital illustrations of North-East-based queer people in collaboration with Northern Pride, Creative Central Newcastle, and Curious Arts.
These works draw on the huge diversity of beauty found within the queer community, particularly focussing on celebrating this diversity rather than trying to hide it. All of the people depicted here are based in and around the North East.
